Red flags from the start!!! We decided to try the Republic of Asia for my Birthday . We came around 6:30 and one table of two was seated and the only server I could see was engaged in conversation for at least 8 minutes before noticing we were waiting after we sat ourselves. The food was terrible and service zero . No prices on menu and were charged full on what were supposed to be special drink prices, my son took the bill and paid because it was my birthday which was very sweet . We were all very disappointed. Besides the table of two no one else besides us came through the door and we ate now aware why .
Food was good, but service was even better. All the staff were very pleasant and accommodating to our table's needs. The price was also great for AYCE. especially in today's economy. The best gem though is definitely the mango cheesecake, which js something I'll definitely be coming back for.
Where do I begin. It was not being busy on a friday night around 7. Should have been my first clue.I should have turned around and walked away. Their food was mediocre at best.They ran out of cold rice and then served me hot sushi.The sashimi on top got warm, really fast was and was not appetizing what so ever. For an all you can eat sushi place. They didn't have a tablet to order from. Their menu was limited. And for the first time, at all you can eat restaurant if you wanted to order sashimi, it cost you, it would have cost you more. They offer free refills on soda, which is fantastic.But when they don't offer to refill it, ever. Not so much. First time i've also been to a restaurant where they didn't offer you water. Someone went out for a smoke and soon as they came back inside, all you could smell was the smoke coming off them. It was not something that I or any one would enjoy when eating dinner. I honestly felt I was in an episode of kitchen nightmares with how quiet it was in that restaurant. Also for a bar all they had on was news. There are so many nicer places in Burlington. That have all you can eat sushi for the same price. That are way more enjoyable to go to. Also, they add gratuity on, and you don't have an option of saying, no, even though the service didn't deserve a tip. I honestly would skip this place.I will never go back.
We had a lunch reservation. We went for the all you can eat. I highly recommend it. Kaitlyn was our server. She was very friendly, explained to us some of the items on the menu. Food portion is large. Atmosphere is very relaxing.
First time here and it was excellent! Beautiful decor, food was great, service was excellent, delivering a great experience! Will definitely be back soon.
Tonight, we had a fabulous dinner at Republik on Appleby Line in Burlington. We have been meaning to go since it opened and yesterday saw an ad : “free meal in your birthday month” so we decided to head over. The AYCE sushi was delicious! The service was fantastic and atmosphere lovely! We will definitely go back!!!
Went there yesterday the service was amazing and the place is very cleaned but to be honest the food standard is very low .we order from all you can eat menu . The dim sum was ok then we order fried noodles with shrimp and the shrimp was off ( very bad taste) sweet and sour fish and general tso chicken with same sauce/ califonia roll rice was so dry / fried brocolli was black in colour . Honestly overall the food was below standard .
