Popped in for lunch after some weekend shopping and were greeted by very friendly staff who gave us excellent recommendations. We ordered the duck curry on rice with chicken doubles and chicken pastry. Food tasted great as it was made fresh to order. The doubles are on the sweeter side which I really enjoyed. Would highly recommend Lena’s!
Tried the chicken roti here during our Niagara Falls trip—the flavor was good, but it came out spicier than expected even though I asked for no spice. On the positive side, the staff was welcoming and even gave me a free vegetarian double to try, which was fantastic and really showed their hospitality. Overall, friendly service and authentic food, with just a small note on spice consistency.
The food here is fantastic. Ordered the chicken roti, some doubles & the goat with rice & peas. What an explosion of flavors with every bite. Highly recommend this place.
Excellent food and very friendly service! The chicken curry is particularly good. It can sometimes be a bit of a pain to park in the area and the dining area isn’t the most comfortable but that shouldn’t be held against establishment. If you are downtown or work in the area this place should be a frequent lunch location.
Called ahead for ordering Roti skins. Avin was so polite on the phone. Patient with me too had too many yummy options so making decisions was a little…. He Packed my order to ensure food safety for my long drive home. I haven’t had doubles in a year. So happy my friend recommended this place! I will be back. Spent a little more than I wanted. But these treats are worth it!
I can't believe this restaurant has been in Burlington for a year!! I have been looking for great Caribbean home cooked food for years and had to drive to Brampton to satisfy my cravings because I can't cook curry for nothing! (My grandmother would be rolling in her grave). The atmosphere was calm and the location was so clean and cheery. The attendant was so warm and inviting, friendly and pleasant. I had doubles and got a rice, dhal and curry goat to go, and it was so good!!! The pepper sauce had the right amount of heat. I was doing a little dance while eating my doubles, fuss it was good!! Thank you Lena's for coming to Burlington!!!
AMAZING. food and staff was awesome!!! ? We ordered doubles with a side of buss up shop ( oil roti) The ladies there were so kind and hospitable. They offered for us to try the goat curry broth with my roti and gave of some pepper sauce on the side. Very nice experience.
