I came to Farm boy for the great organic foods, not the discrimination I over heard today. I grabbed a quick drink from the wall they had there, and I couldn’t help but over hear, I believe his name was Christian talking. He was very loudly expressing how “coloured” individuals should “stay to themselves” and how “slow” they are. I will never be returning to this Farm boy. Unbelievable.
Most of the food is very good, location is good, but the service is definitely not there. Deli counter's food safety needs a very close attention. It always smells there with some perfume like odours. Staff at the counter pull their pants up and don't bother washing their hands before putting the gloves on. Badly stinking household chemicals are also placed right next the food shelves. I've given it a try, but am going back to Longo's and Fortinos.
Don’t eat here. We came here and looked through the hot section… The food was discoloured from being out too long. We looked through the cold salad section and the pasta was also discoloured as well as some packaged flatbreads, sandwiches and more. I listened to another couple look at the food and opt to go to Swiss Chalet. We got something that was covered (Smash Burger) and then found a bread tag in the wrapping with the burger. I have never come across a Farm Boy like this one.
Farm boy had wonderful fresh fruits and vegetables and good bread. The best thing I've discovered is PRICES ARE ACTUALLY LESS OR BETTER THAN THE BIG STORES. TRUE. AND THE QUALITY IS BETTER.
Received excellent service this week from Chef Department Manager, James... he helped me with a huge lunch order and even packed up and helped me to the car with it. Chanelle, Service Dept Mgr, was also super helpful getting me all checked out. Always enjoy shopping here but appreciate this above and beyond customer service. Thank you!
I stopped in today mostly out of curiosity and I was pleasantly surprised. There was such a large variety of specialty items, fresh foods were arranged nicely, and the salad and hot food bar area was enticing. I settled on some hot food items that were at a self serve buffet. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the jerk chicken because it did lack some flavor but other than that I enjoyed the combination of items I selected. There is a salad/hot food bar loyalty card offered at cash. I think that’s a great idea because I enjoy rewards programs at different stores. I look forward to coming back to try more items. I recommend visiting this location when you have time to really check it out and see the interesting foods/spices that could make your next home run dinner!
