(1) The friction tape for blade is very weak, barely stick to the tape, really not durable and after 5min on the ice will become more slippery than friction. (2) The clear tape is also not great, little strech compared to other brand.(3) the new sticky wax is very durable, but after 5min of ice time it gets so hard its more slippery than tacky... useless. So out of my +30 rolls purchase, only the black cloth tape I actually don't mind on my blade and their original wax.
I've now had several orders from Howie's. I bought 4 pairs of their socks, I swear by their tape and also have a practice jersey, stick extensions and other. Everything I have of theirs is top tier and reasonably priced. The only thing better than their products is their customer service. They are unreal to deal with and very quick. I will be a loyal customer until I die.

Howies Hockey Tape products are must-haves for hockey players. ? The tape is the best I’ve ever used. Even without stick wax I find it doesn’t ice up easily. Not only that, it’s very thick and strong so it lasts longer. ? The stick wax, hockey scissors, skate stone, and all the accessories are 10 out of 10. They work excellently, they’re durable, and the Howies Hockey Bag makes it easy to carry. ? I recommend buying a roll of tape to try out and if you’re a fan, buy in balk. Ordered 100 pucks and 30 pylons in a Thursday afternoon. Received the shipment Friday before noon. Better prices on both pucks and pylons than any place I could find in Ottawa, including Walmart.
