We have had both our sons train here over the past few years, and we keep coming back for more training. Coach Udo has developed my oldest over the years and we accredit his teaching abilities to the skilled level he is today. We have recently started a power skating program with coach Tom, and have been thoroughly impressed! He corrects posture and form on the spot helping with speed and more efficient strides. I highly recommend The Pond for all hockey development.
My son was having a hard time during his hockey sessions and House league, he likes hockey but was losing confidence fast. I took him to The Burlington Pond this week, and they were amazing. From the information administrator Angela, who guided me through the process, to coach Udo, the entire experience was personalized and positive. The session was engaging and fun, and they had the patience and time to coach him. He had fun and loved it and so did I. After the session I also got guidance into what does he need and how to help him achieve his goals. Excellent facilities, excellent service, excellent coach! Perfect for my little one!
We’ve been coming for a while but didn’t have the greatest experience, and we’re very disappointed overall. Communication with the administration is poor, and there’s a lot of confusion about the programs. After reading other reviews, it’s clear we’re not the only ones who feel this way. We’ve been involved in hockey for many years and have never experienced anything like this. It’s very disappointing. I also noticed that they often reply to messages and reviews in a way that shifts the responsibility back onto the families, which makes it difficult to feel heard or understood.
We have now had two birthday parties here and the staff, service and venue are fantastic. Angela is professional, kind and so helpful in planning my events. The dance lights and black lighting really made the birthdays very memorable
I've had my Son on the ice with a few different trainers over the years. Working with Michelle has really helped with Transitions and Edge work. I'd recommend The Pond to Players looking to build confidence in a small group setting. Atmosphere at The Pond is very welcoming. Keep up the Great Work
My son and daughter attend the Sunday afternoon intermediate Power Skating and Puck Skills lessons. Their coach is Udo Springmann and he’s fantastic. I watched an entire lesson rink side and was able to listen and watch him coach them through various drills. He’s excellent at explaining things and demonstrating what is to be expected. He watches the kids and if someone is struggling he doesn’t hesitate to come help correct them. He is very kind to my youngest who is 7 years old and the only girl in the group. The Pond is an excellent place to further your hockey skills and become an overall better skater.
A little hard to find this place (it's st the back of the building). Decent facility but we forewarned that you have to get dressed outside before entering the building due to COVID, which is a hassle.
