Went for the 3rd time today. This is going to be my go to fried chicken place! They make great Korean fried chicken (sometime I want to try something else, but I can’t get past the chicken ;) ). Also, really great service (shoutout to Chris). Read reviews and someone gave this place a one star review for food, service and atmosphere because they closed the kitchen a little early… not merited IMO. Life happens, but they make good food and have good service. Small places like this rely on reviews and an unmerited 1 start does real damage.
My partner and I just dined here and absolutely loved it. The service was super fast and friendly, and the food was so delicious. Everything was reasonably priced and so much flavour. We will definitely be back to try more dishes!
Having lived in Korea for 9 years, I know when the food is legit or not, and this place surpassed my expectations! The staff are wonderful, the portions are big, and the food is perfect! Absolutely loved it! I wish I discovered this place sooner!
Used to be my goto place for the fried chicken, but they recently reduced the amount by a lot for the same money. Food was still tasty but it's absurd.
We ordered on uber eats for pick up and it was ready fast and the food was hot and fresh! Excellent beef bulgogi and Korean fried chicken. They also have great kimchi. Owners were very nice. We will definitely be ordering again!
I have gone to BAB so many times and it's become a staple for us. I'm giving the food a solid 4 stars because although of course it's not Michelin-star quality, it's solid and great value. The servers are always friendly and well-meaning, although sometimes there are things lost in translation. The decor is a bit odd for a restaurant, with little figurines all over the walls, but it adds to a bit of kitschy charm, I guess. Anyway, I digress - overall, great Korean food and a welcome addition to the Burlington food scene.
Been here a few of times now and have gotten takeout as well since it’s the closest Korean restaurant in Burlington. Food is very inconsistent. I always order soontofu and theirs is always different. Sometimes too salty, sometimes not flavourful enough, it’s always a gamble. Also maybe because there are no other competing Korea restaurants here, but a basic soontofu being $19 is too much IMO. The prices here were already much higher than what you’d find in oakville/sauga, but it seems like each time I visit their price goes up by another dollar. Would love to keep supporting them but the value just isn’t there and I don’t like gambling for good food.
