Ive been calling for the past hour, and noone answers. What is the point of having a store or employees when they cant pick up their phones, especially when I have prepaid for an item?!
Great selection of toys, however that doesn’t matter when the staff are so rude and dismissive. I went in today to ask if they had a toy in stock as I saw it on their website, and was met with an immediate NO - the staff member didn’t even make eye contact or look my way. Very odd that a children’s toy store would employ staff who are so cold and miserable. This isn’t an isolated incident - every time I walk into this store, the same staff are so grumpy.
I recently visited the Mastermind Toys location in Burlington and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I came in looking for a specific item and asked a staff member for assistance. I was simply told it was out of stock, which I understood, but there was no offer to help locate it at another store, check availability elsewhere, or suggest alternatives. The interaction felt very dismissive and unhelpful. After browsing on my own and finding something else for my daughter, my experience at checkout was equally disappointing. The cashier did not greet me, barely spoke, and simply scanned the item and stated the price. After I thanked her at the end of the transaction, she responded with a flat “OK,” which came across as rude and indifferent. Her demeanor was not reflective of someone suited for a customer-facing role. With other Mastermind Toys locations available, I will likely take my business elsewhere. This store, unfortunately, did not offer the level of service I expect or have experienced at other locations.
There's a total lack of customer service at this store. Not 1 staff member acknowledge me when I entered at all. After 5 minutes of searching for an item, I finally had to ask someone if they worked here and all I got was a yes. Didn't ask if they could help in any way. When I asked about a specific item they told me they do not have it despite online saying they have it. I get that only can be wrong so I'm not totally surprised by that. When I asked if there's a way to order it to the store or if they're able to see if an item will be coming in, as I don't want to pay for shipping for a small dollar value item, they were of no help. Told me to go to a different location and see if they have it. Also, no music on in the store.
It disappoints every time. Very limited selection of toys, every time I’ve been there over the past 6 months the staff is terrible, they are clearly not happy with their job and every time you ask them something they are mean. Sad place. Sad that is the only toy store we have in Burlington.
The woman who works in the store treats the customers disastrously, and the prices are not listed on the items. This is what made me not buy from the store, even though I needed to buy a birthday gift for my son from it
This is the best toy store by far. So glad they didn't close this store. They have a great selection of Lego and other amazing toys for all ages. The store manager is the greatest. She is always so helpful and nice!
Staff was great, very helpful from start to finish. The Staff even wrapped the gifts. Great experience. Will be back soon.

I ADORE Mastermind Toys! It's the toy shop I grew up with! Everything they have is a toy I would buy my child. My only concern here is that the pricing is slightly higher, but they have promotions that make up for that. They also include free wrapping like I used to remember other toy stores doing as a child, but no more. It's nice to see that kind of customer service is still around today.
Toys are well priced and seem to be of decent quality. Good store
