We recently had our wedding at Paletta Mansion, and it was an amazing success. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and efficient. Gabriel, the bartender, was fantastic—always checking in and making sure no one ever went without. The food was great and the atmosphere was beautiful. Our coordinator, Alexandria, was always available for questions and made sure every detail and every change we made was noted, understood. Ian was flawless in the execution of my wedding plan. I had to make a few last minute changes due to weather and Ian made my panic disappear. One of the things we loved most about Paletta is that you get the entire mansion to yourself for the day. It created such an intimate, relaxed atmosphere. I was able to arrive early in the morning with my bridal party to set up a few things while we were getting our hair and makeup done, and everything flowed perfectly from that moment onward. It was a wonderful experience, and we will always hold beautiful memories of our wedding at Paletta Mansion. Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and for making our day truly unforgettable.
I will be forever grateful that we found Paletta Mansion as the venue for our wedding! We held our wedding on September 27th with 60 guests. Every aspect of the venue was perfect, and I recommend it to any couple having a smaller wedding. Multiple guests complimented the beauty of the venue and the intimate feel of our wedding. We loved the mix of indoor and outdoor spaces at Paletta. We were relaxed knowing that if the weather precluded a ceremony on the terrace, we would still be married in a beautiful room. The mix of trees, gardens, stone terraces, and the lake make for a stunning setting. We enjoyed working with Alexandria to finalize the wedding details and we were delighted that Paletta had so many practical items available (e.g., table numbers, napkins, easels for signs). We loved that there was space to get ready on site with a separate room for the bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen. There was plenty of space for eight people to get ready in the bridal room and a steamer was available. I liked that our guests moved between different areas of the venue (e.g., upstairs for dinner, downstairs for dancing) over the course of the evening. The dance floor was spacious, the sunroom was a great place for a photobooth, and guests enjoyed the mild evening weather on the terrace during the party. We had many compliments about the food at Paletta Mansion, including the appetizers, dinner, and late-night grilled cheese station. All the staff were professional, and the bartender was amazing – he remembered everyone’s drink order! The staff took excellent care of us as the bride and groom; we were able to enjoy the appetizers between photos and our dinners were kept warm with a lid while we chatted with guests. The small round area for the wedding cake off the dining room is an especially beautiful touch. We would choose Paletta again in a heartbeat! Brigid & Sean
The scenery was absolutely beautiful and the mansion itself is stunning — that’s where the positives end. The officiant was funny, charismatic, and made the vows feel lively and heartfelt. The hors d’oeuvres were also good. Unfortunately, everything after that went downhill. The servers were rude and dismissive, and the dinner was surprisingly poor. The prime rib tasted stale. I have gotten better quality at Fortinos, the potatoes seemed microwaved, and the portions were small. If you enjoy bland or lack luster food and indifferent service, this might be the place for you — but if you expect quality to match the beautiful setting, you’ll be disappointed.
As a wedding photographer who's has had the pleasure of shooting here countless times, I cannot recommend this venue any more. The property is stunning and the staff is super helpful. 10/10 recommended!
A beautifully preserved mansion with stunning views of the lake and Hamilton Harbour. The grounds are impeccably maintained, offering a serene escape and a touch of grandeur. While the historic charm is undeniable, it would be wonderful to see a small play area added—something to make the experience more engaging for families with young children. I appreciate the effort to preserve its authenticity, but considering it's also a public park, a few modern touches could make it more inclusive. Still, it's a must-visit spot, especially if you're in the mood to capture some regal, Instagram-worthy photos.
My sister got married here in 2022 and although her wedding was amazing, the staff was horrible. Firstly, we weren’t greeted when we got there, which wasn’t a big deal at all, until they started allowing random people into the venue to tour the place while we were getting ready. That was disappointing and distracting from my sisters special day. My sisters husbands grandpa faced a medical emergency during the wedding, and the staff treated us poorly during this time of stress and didn’t seem to care for his health, so much to the point that a staff member actually apologized on behalf of the venue (which was very nice of her). Lastly, we brought lots of treats and snacks for the wedding guests to enjoy, and at the end of the night we have no clue where it all went. Possibly thrown out by staff but we truly don’t know where it ended up, lots of money wasted. At the end of the day my sister wedding was amazing and fun, but for these reasons I wouldn’t recommend a wedding here.
Great view of the lake and the mansion as the backdrop is pretty. But poor hygiene! Public washrooms were locked, saw someone peeing in the bushes and there was dog poop everywhere ?
