I got my first order from here today,. IT CAME FAST..I TRY NOT TO READ OTHER REVIEWS SO I DO NOT GET SWAYED BY OPINIONS. MY THOUGHTS ARE THIS: I WAS DELIGHTED BY THE TREATS. I SPENT ALMOST 100 ON A FEW TREATS TO TEST THE PLACE OUT. I WILL 100% ORDER AGAIN
The steak and stilton pie is a masterpiece. Highly recommended bakery to pickup some authentic British treats. Savoury or sweet! If you're looking for the special Easter releases they got them too. I have been looking for galaxy ministrels everywhere and they had them!
Been searching for a decent meat pie ever since I came to Canada. The pies here are superb and an incredible selection. Definitely my go to place in the future.
We have had the individual pies from British Pride and they are good. So, we decided to order the 12 lbs large family size steak pie, what a disappointment. Puff pastry was underdone, meat was not soft it did not full apart (Seemed low quality), there was more gravy than meat. In addition there was no depth of flavour, very blah. We very much miss the large But n Ben bakery pies, they were the best. We will buy from them again but I don’t think we would attempt the larger sizes again.
First time here today with my hubby. Amazing store carrying many of the British classics - snack food, drinks, sauces, jams and pickled things - and of course the amazing selection of classic British pies. The staff is super friendly and helpful in answering questions. Great experience - will definitely be back again.
Great place for those British bits and bobs. Usually well stocked. Prices are okay. Service is friendly. Not sure why they started charging a fee for using a credit card (hope that's not a trend for other stores to follow)
Been about a year since last visit. Picked up few of the yummy savory pasties, scotch egg, & some packaged goods like chocolate, biscuits & crisps. Just disappointed they no longer had the chocolate spreads i got in past. I cant have Nutella due to hazelnut allergy so Cadbury choc. spread was next best thing. Hope they get them in again soon! Please
