Absolutely delicious! We ordered the lamb skewers, scallion pancake, and boiled fish, with a side of white rice. The fish was so soft with an amazing Szechuan broth. The lamb was seasoned well and very tender. The staff were also so sweet!
I had a fantastic experience at He He. The flavours and food are incredible. I didn’t know Chinese food could be this good. You definitely want to try dining in to get the food served to you and the full experience of meeting the nice people running the place and serving you. I can’t wait to try it again. We had the braised short rib, cold chicken, rice, and green beans. Adding the sauce with a bit of pepper flakes is definitely worth it
It's very authentic Chinese food! Highly recommend if you're looking for real Chinese food and willing to know the food culture from northeast of China. Not for the people only knows Chinese food as chicken balls and frying rice. The Grilled Lamb Chops with Cumin and Fried Pork in Scoop taste delicious, crispy outside and soft inside. The chef takes the time to make sure everything is well done.
Amazing authentic spicy Chinese food, it's one of the only places in Halton region with this type of cuisine. I recommend the boiled beef and mapo tofu. I'll be back to try more of the menu
Always a pleasure to dine here. My husband and I come most weeks, we always order the golden beef broth, lamb skewers, spring rolls and sometimes cauliflower stir fry. Everything tastes so good, I’m happy it’s close to our house.
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! We got scallion pancakes, soup dumplings, honey chicken wings, lamb skewers, crispy sweet and sour pork, chou fries with garlic, dry pot cauliflower, and rice. The customer service was great as well. The servers were helpful with recommending us dishes and attentive as they came around to fill up our water. Really friendly and family run. The atmosphere was nice and I liked the decor. Only thing is the smoke detector went off a few times due to the smoke from the kitchen. Overall, very happy with the food and experience. This place is now my new favourite Chinese restaurant in Burlington!
Absolutely fantastic experience at He He Restaurant—so much so that I went back a second time in the same week! Every dish we ordered was full of flavour and perfectly prepared: dumplings, cucumber salad, sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, beef stew, lamb skewers, and cauliflower—each one a standout. This is authentic northern Chinese cuisine, not a watered-down or whitewashed menu. The flavours, textures, and presentation felt truly traditional and thoughtfully made. The service was equally impressive. The young son of the owners went above and beyond to accommodate us, kindly fetching chairs instead of benches for my parents and making sure we had water and tea throughout the meal. He even held the door open for us without being asked. A truly welcoming and thoughtful touch that made the whole visit feel special. If I had one small critique, it would be the fried rice—it was still good, but didn’t stand out quite as much as the rest of the incredible menu. Highly recommended—this place is a gem
