Staff is super slow and have no idea what they’re doing. It takes them forever to look up something in the computer and then end up calling for help…if there’s someone around. Only one guy knows the job but is never around ♀️
Spent a few thousand dollars there .. went to pick up an order lots of young staff standing around talking while they make u load it yourself with no cart or assistance
I placed an order online with Gerrie because I had an urgent need for electrical wire. Their website showed that the product was available, and I was pleased to see that shipping would be free. After processing my payment and receiving confirmation, I thought everything was in order. However, at the end of the day, I received an email informing me that my order would be canceled and refunded due to "shipping and freight restrictions." This was both surprising and frustrating. Not only was my time wasted, but I was left scrambling to find another supplier at the last minute. I even wrote back to express my disappointment, hoping for an alternative solution, I was met with an no response. Instead of exploring options—such as offering expedited shipping at a cost —they simply canceled the order without attempting to resolve the issue. It was clear that the staff was not empowered to problem-solve, and the lack of empathy throughout the interaction only worsened the situation. This is a perfect example of a company trying to transition into e-commerce but failing to meet the basic expectations of online shoppers. The disconnect between their inventory system and what’s promised on their website, combined with poor customer service, demonstrates that they are not prepared to handle modern online commerce demands.
Front reception directed me all the way around to the back of this huge, warehouse-looking building to find RETAIL. What a waste of time!?!? Where is RETAIL? Disgusted, I turned around and left. And I was a paying customer -- ready to buy. GG 20240628
Sorry for being blunt, avoid calling this office for a pre-sales consultation on what they sell. Terrible and very customer disoriented service. Called in for a specific lighting application and specific manufacturer they carry. Got transferred- through. No curtesy answer to the usual "how are you?" on a Friday morning... If they sniff you are not an electrician or someone to give them precise codes or very in-their-code-based-language way questions you are toast. I, for one, got hang up on. Had called back, waited for a few minutes to be connected back to someone willing to pick up the phone. Different person with the same lack of curtesy and after a few exchanges I was eventually directed to call the manufacturer...
Good store and generally a great stock of panels, disconnects, meter bases and other items for bigger jobs. The nice part is that their distribution center is right across the highway on North Service road so whatever they don’t have in store will most likely be at the distribution center. Distribution center also has a large selection of wire. When all other electrical stores don’t have stock in the area Gerrie will usually have it. Going there has been a good experience and often saves the day if you need something specific.
Even though we did not have an account with them, we received the best service. Daniel went above and beyond to find us a part on a Saturday, while all other companies were either closed or reluctant to help a company that doesn't have an account with them. He single handedly saved the day for us.
