I visit A&W restaurants a lot. Even more since Buy Canadian took hold. Hunterhorn A&W is in my opinion, the best and most consistent A&W in Calgary! The food is always tasty and the staff are always friendly everytime I visit.
Service is good. But the masala burger was so spicy. The spice i could manage to take but they really need to up their game in bread. So doughy. Didn’t enjoy the bread at all.
Food was ok. Bought a meal and asked for a glass of water and was charged .50 “for the cup “. There is no way cups are .50 now. I used to work in a restaurant and they were only .5-.10. If I was only asking for water then I would understand but I bought a full $19 meal. Not impressed by any means. Cheese in burger was gross and rings were not hot or good.
Not sure what's happened to this location. Used to be university aged young ladies working. Now it a strange woman who ALWAYS has dirty hair. Mutters to herself. Always seems pissed off. I will not be coming here anymore. I hate the thought of her breathing or handling my food.
There was almost nobody in line and our order took forever - and 3 minutes after taking our order, the same lady came and asked what we were waiting for
I ordered a mushroom burger and the sauce was old and stale, also they would not give a glass of water, wanted to charge money. Very poor customer service, this is how they treat a loyal customer, so sad and angry.
I ordered a papa burger with Lettuce. I received a burger with just Lettuce and meat with no toppings. I went back and figured I would get a fresh burger. First of all, the cook doesn't wear gloves. My burger was taken out the bag and walked to the back where I watched the cook add toppings. Aren't they supposed to make a fresh burger? Are they not aware of covid? Anyways I won't be eating here again! The burger meat is over cooked and dry. And I was expected to eat that with a bunch of Lettuce. Gross. Never experienced an A&W like this.
