Had an amazing dinner at Masayuki Sushi in Burlington! The atmosphere felt genuinely Japanese — warm, welcoming, and super authentic. We ordered sushi and the Dinner for Two with Wagyu, and everything was incredible. The chef is very talented, and the variety of dishes made the whole experience feel special. Highly recommend if you want real Japanese flavours right here in Canada!
This was our first time at this restaurant and we were shocked of how small the portions are in comparison to the prices. The food was fresh, however when you spend $260+ and you leave hungry!! That’s an issue especially when there was nothing special or unique about the menu, the rolls or the atmosphere. This is not a fine dining restaurant. Go to Hoseki. You are better off spending $300+ but getting great flavours, amazing quality, delicious rolls and delicious sashimi. Not worth it in my opinion plus we waited so long for appetizers only to get kids size food lol.
We tried their set meal, and while good we found the price to be quite pricey compared to what was offered. Personally, I'd travel outside of Bronte to get better value and quality.
Food was very good but would not accommodate for gluten free. Service was slow. Two people and dinner was 2.5 hours to finish-server would disappear for ten minutes at a time. No music. Felt like a big cafeteria. No ambience. Wouldn’t go again.
Good food but extremely pricy. Got the sukiyaki special and the beef was no more that 100grams. The sushi was okay. The sushi rice needs work. Nice sake.
I ordered some sushi from here for pickup, when I got home I couldn't believe they charged $60 for what I ordered. At another restaurant I could have got the same thing for $30-$35.
We had the Omakase for our anniversary dinner. We were very excited to be able to go to a more upscale Japanese restaurant in Burlington. We usually head to places in Toronto to eat fancier Japanese and we loved every bite. The Chawanmushi (savoury egg custard dish) was divine & we ate some dishes that we'd never had before. I especially loved the soup in the ironstone teapot. The sushi was also amazing. Would definitely come back & bring people. Elegant & simple decor and nice service. The quality is reflected in the pricing and should not be compared to the run of the mill sushi restaurants that are usually found in Burlington. (which we also enjoy for our regular sushi cravings). If you looking for a authentic Japanese food, I highly recommend coming here.
