Whenever I want consistently good sushi, Fishing is always one of the top restaurants on the list in Burlington. The food is fresh and the quality of sushi and sashimi is there. They are a tiny bit more pricy than other places in Burlington, but it's well-worth it, in my opinion.
When I first started getting takeout from here it was amazing. The fish was fresh albeit it being pricey, I was willing to pay for the quality. Overtime I feel the quality and care of their food has dropped, from the watered down miso soup to the sushi rice falling apart instantly when picked up. You are no longer getting the quality with the higher price tag unfortunately.
I’m shocked. The ratings were decent so I came in pretty hopeful! This place is extremely over priced for the amount of food and lack of flavour. I bought cheese and crab wontons for 10$ that were BARELY filled. And my poke bowl was supposed to be spicy but it was so bland and the fish was chewy. Take your business elsewhere as there’s way better spots to try than this one. Service was whatever and dining room was small. Never again.
Some darn. Good. Sushi. I’m actually so impressed. I think it’s the best sushi I’ve had in Burlington. The white fish sushi is super delicious. Anything torched was great! Their classic rolls are also fresh and delicious. Very nice packaging, so it would be really great for catering/a party.
Fishing Sushi is an absolute hidden gem! It’s a small and quaint spot, and while there’s not a lot of seating, it adds to the cozy charm — and honestly, it’s worth the wait if it’s busy. I ordered the California rolls, tempura, and a green salad. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the flavors were spot on. The California rolls were perfectly made, the tempura was light and crispy, and the green salad was surprisingly delicious — fresh greens with a flavorful dressing that really stood out. The staff are super nice, polite, and welcoming. They take the time to make sure you have a great experience, and their kindness really makes the visit even better. Pricing is average for sushi, but the quality and service make it feel like a great value. If you’re in the area and craving sushi, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommend!
The sashimi was very fresh and great quality, the rolls were really good, the Zone-B roll was really good but a bit thin/small portion, other wise everything was great quality. Also ordered the edamame and yam tempura which was delicious. Very friendly staff and lots of pickled ginger was included in our order, which was a nice touch!
Went there with high hopes but I was immediately turned off by the cleanliness of the restaurant. Didn’t end up eating so I can’t comment on that but we left immediately No children’s seats available either
