It was my first visit here last week. The first thing I spotted was a very used up leather jacket for $50. The selection was quite poor in all categories and the prices were quite high. I left empty handed which is rare for me at any thrift store. I understand why most thrift stores don't have change rooms but it is a big deterrent when shopping for clothes, especially when prices are high. I won't be returning.
Overall I enjoy shopping at Salvation Army, prices and selection is decent. Generally speaking the staff at this location are very helpful and friendly. My biggest complaint however is the return policy. I recently purchased something, however after purchasing it was not what I expected and wanted to return it. Sadly i misplaced the receipt but the tag was still on the item and because I didn’t have the receipt I couldn’t return it. In today’s economically challenging times is the reason why I shop at thrift stores, so losing money because I can’t return an item will make me think twice about buying something again from the Salvation Army store.
Awful lady that works behind the counter ! Seriously clearly I'm not a senior and don't ask me if I'm a senior or have a seniors card. Clearly you are a senior yourself don't ask people let them volunteer geez Also, the product sucks if I could give less than zero, I would !!!
I have been going here for 10 years. Almost every time I find an amazing piece! The only downside is how pricey some items have gotten. Other than that, great place!
Worst thrift store I've ever been to. So many things mislabeled and in the wrong sections (ended up buying pants that are too small because it was tagged as a 36, on closer tag inspection it's a 23), men's clothes in the women's section and vice versa, and the cashier was EXTREMELY rude. Truthfully I'd avoid this location just to avoid speaking with her again. Save your time and go somewhere else.
Sorry to have to say it, but this store is way overpriced. As an example, a simple winter scarf is priced at $ 9.99. It wasn't even a very nice scarf and it had pilled. They want $ 9.99 for that. Unfortunately, most of the Sally Ann's are heading in the direction of overpricing their wares. This usually means that a lot of it doesn't get sold and ends up in the landfill, which is exactly what you're trying to avoid when you donate your goods. I've donated to this store before, but I won't be anymore. I'll donate to some local smaller thrifts that still have affordable pricing. They say that we shouldn't care how it's priced, because it's for a good cause. No, people still care what they're paying for used goods. Nobody wants to feel like they're being ripped off.
You people need to get over yourselves. This is a thrift store that has a number of volunteers and a few paid staff employees. It may be messy or a little disorganized but they are doing their best to help people who need it. Sure mistakes may be made but nobody is perfect and if you are, I would love to meet you. In case your wondering, the woman who started Value Village is a multi millionaire. Enough said.
