We had a fantastic experience here recently. Both my wife and I were shopping for bikes for ourselves, having been away from riding for years. Not knowing what we needed, we chose GEARS to help us out and we were not disappointed. From greeting us when we first arrived to walking us through the entire process of fitting us to the right bike and size, Ryan was amazingly patient and helpful. He was very knowledgeable and we never felt like we were being pushed to buy or upsold something we didn't need. I would definitely recommend you visit them for your biking needs.
Brought my bike in for service after going to another bike shop. Gears fixed the bike immaculately and did a service on my bike. It rides perfect!! 5 stars and were also very informative when I went in to pick it up. great team!
Amazing service! We travelled a couple of hours to get there and arrived close to close. The staff stayed late (without any hint of frustration) to be sure my son was able to find the right bike for him. Great selection and very knowledgeable, super friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Great experience ! I was trying to take my bike apart to put in a travel case and I could not get my left pedal off. I ran in in a panic and they were able to help me out and get me off on my vacation with one less thing to worry about.
Made the hour long drive to have my bike serviced. Had to deal with a middle aged bike mechanic with a condescending attitude. My second experience like this but this time at the Burlington store. Terrible customer service, terrible attitude. Out of all the bike shops I've been to in the GTHA Gears is by far the worst. E: Hi, thanks for your reply. Do you want to know what a hard slap in the face is? Spending your money at a bike shop and receiving attitude for no reason. I'm not sure what you mean by zero patience. There was one person in front of me I waited my turn and was greeted with attitude. I took my bike and I left you can talk to someone else like that. Everybody is dealing with covid right now it's not exclusive to Gears and your list of excuses for your behaviour isn't acceptable. Nobody at the shop had a mask on. Maybe they should wear one to keep them at work and not at home sick.
This was probably one of the best retail experiences I've had at ANY store. I purchased a bike online and picked it up in-store. I also needed a few things to go with the bike, such as pedals, shoes, seat, etc. I was honestly a bit worried because I had never bought the style of bike before or worn clipless shoes. An associate named Martin was incredibly patient and helpful. He began with the mechanical components so that the techs could set up the bike while we talked about shoes. He then took the time to make sure everything was adjusted correctly, installed the blocks into the shoes, and taught me the basics of clipless pedals while I balanced against the front counter. Just a fantastic experience and I'm much less worried. Thanks, Martin and GEARS.
Gears will be our go to bike shop from now on. I had the most positive experience and the staff could not have been more kind, helpful, knowledgeable and efficient. Not to mention the quality of product that they carry. The demand for bikes is extremely high at the moment and they had my bike built within two days. Would highly highly recommend!
