Yesterday, I went to purchase a down jacket as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I had seen online that your store carried size S, so I specifically drove all the way from Oakville. Unfortunately, the staff couldn’t locate the item and suggested that we place an online order instead, which was quite disappointing. As we were about to leave, I casually mentioned the situation to Crystal at the Customer Service desk, who was on her break at the time. To our surprise, she was not impatient at all — instead, she kindly volunteered to use her break time to check the stock room. Amazingly, she found the jacket for us. I would like to say that all the staff were very friendly, but we are especially grateful to Crystal for going above and beyond. Thanks to her proactive help, we didn’t make the trip for nothing and were able to avoid ordering online and waiting for delivery. Truly excellent customer service!
I had a very positive experience at Sporting Life – Store #24. I came in to return a pair of shoes I ordered online, and the cashier Gerry provided excellent customer service. He greeted me warmly, was very friendly, and processed the return quickly and professionally. It made the whole visit smooth and pleasant. Thank you, Gerry, for the great service!
Jake of the hard goods department was a tremendous help with finding a good fit for ski helmets and goggles. He helped make deep adjustments to the helmet that a customer would be afraid to make. He gave us good fit test procedures and gave us a tip for matching a goggle to a helmet. He was very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly all around and made the visit very pleasant.
Quinn was super helpful in choosing which boots I needed for my gear. He was incredibly informative, and patient and helped me 3 different times. He provided excellent customer service and is an amazing employee.
I had a really good experience at this Sporting Life location. Quinn was very helpful assisting me get my bindings mounted on my skis from my online order. They were very busy but still able to get it done for me within a short period of time knowing I came from out of town. I also want to thank the technician who was also very helpful. I would definitely recommend this location.
I visited Sporting Life Burlington last weekend to purchase winter gear, and since I was shopping without my child present, I was texting to sort out style preferences and trying to guess sizing. Jasper came to my rescue! He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the different brands, how they fit, and what would work best warmth-wise. Even though I know my child’s usual size, each brand fits differently, and Jasper knew exactly what to recommend. He also took the time to explain the technology behind the coats, including how some lightweight jackets can be just as warm as the big puffy ones. We ended up choosing a coat I never would have picked on my own because it didn’t look warm enough, and it turned out to be perfect. His recommendations were spot on. Everything we purchased fits perfectly and looks great. Jasper made what could have been a stressful shopping trip surprisingly easy. He was kind, patient, and truly knew his stuff. They cancelled my order without any email or second choices. The available stock was misjudged by them. I will look elsewhere for more reliable service.
