My husband purchased a car from Unique and from the very start, the service was wonderful. Raza & AJ took great care of us & were very pleasant and easy to deal with. The day after we brought the car home, the engine light came on, so we contacted Zack (owner). He was incredible. He immediately made an appointment for us at the mechanic's the next day. His mechanic was phenomenal at correcting the situation and everything was fixed so quick. Was a minor problem fix. We stopped by after to see Zack and we were so pleased by his professionalism and how he took care of us like we were family.
After returning a vehicle that was not working properly, I had forgotten to remove the car keys from the keychain. They did not notify me of this instead I had to go back and forth to their building do find the keychain. The only thing they returned to me was a piece of the keychain that had my mother's name on it. They had stolen a piece of a keychain that was very precious to me (I expressed this) and a mailbox key. They told me that if they "found" my keychain they would contact me. This has been over a year now and I have not heard from them at all.
Not to be trusted. We made the mistake of trusting them. Took two weeks to get the car (they promised a few days after the weekend). We had to make them write out the things they promised to fix on the car and then we left the $500 deposit required (which they promised they would return to us if the promised repairs were not done.) They kept saying we needed to register the car with MTO but thankfully I didn’t because after a two week wait, we came to look at it and the air conditioning was not fixed. It was 32 degrees today and they didn’t think to have this done when they told us to come pick it up. Did I mention this car was for an 88 year old? They finally did give us our money back (but only because our salesperson Raza was a decent and kind man, unlike the owner who told us that we could not get our money back because… wait for it… we had already registered the car with the MTO, which I’m so glad we hadn’t!) then they wanted our copy of the paperwork back. Why this was so important to them when it was our copy and they had the originals I don’t know. Bottom line, if you do buy from Unique Auto, do so with extreme caution.
Seemed to find a great car for a very reasonable price. But unfortunately they also did a great job of painting over the rust on the car. Even my boyfriend and his dad were impressed with how clean the car was for its age and couldn’t find any signs of rusting. However after only a month the rust exploded all over the rocker panels and doors!! There is no way that happened in a month and upon further inspection was most definitely painted over. Extremely disappointed!
