If I could give more than 5 Stars I would. Last week I called in to ask if I could have my new tires put on my current rims and have my brakes done. Shawn asked me what my concerns were about the brakes and I told him the last time they were done was 2023. He instsntly asked how many KM im putting on the truck and didn't think id need them done but he would look and let me know. Instsntly I was impressed. He could've just gone with it and taken the money i was willing to spend. Today I dropped the truck off and he called me to inform me about my brakes, gave me an initial quote, we talked parts, and he called me back after finding a better price. On top of all of that he made it super easy for me to pay. I was able to split the cost between my credit card and an e-transfer. Service here is - friendly -honest -efficient And I will 1000% be back
They are nice. I think they mean well. But, I had front brakes installed improperly. Squealing sound was frequent but intermittent/ started occurring 2 weeks after installation. Called multiple multiple times. Was told its common in new brakes. Might happen if I drive aggressively and they get hot. Because parts are original dealership parts I bought... it wasn't warranted of the part was faulty. I returned with complaint 2 months later. I said NO. Not normal coming from front. They visually examined in parking area. Said my rear brakes looked worn. Probably them. I paid for service on rear brakes. Calipers were sticking. But, I called them back as squealing was still there. Again... must be my aggressive driving. They never even took front wheels off. So sure it was my rear brakes. Made appt with dealer for squealing front brakes. Dealer told me when there's a brake complaint I'll 4 are examined. Found the were installed improperly. Ended up needing new rotors due to damage from it. When I called them to complain they offered full repair and part replacement. Or, just money back for labor. I took money for labor as I trust my dealer more. No apologies and lots of excuses. They should have just re examined the brakes they installed! No apology. Thank God my dealer gave me a video of the issue.
Don't bring up your reputation being long-standing. Steve Smart, the former owner, built that reputation...not you Mike!Was told I did not know what a slow leak on a tire was. Was told all of my other tires should be on riding on the rims by the 3 other PSI readings. They were not on the rims at all. Now 2 months later I have refilled the tire I brought in for repair in 2 months. Winter tire seasonis here so good luck to me on getting anyone to fix it in the next month.....awesome!!
Hello. My family has been going to Smart Auto for about 4 to 5 years. In all that time they have assessed and diagnosed various issues with 3 cars with accuracy. They are flexible with repair options and upfront with what needs to repaired and what can be monitored for later work. They have always let us know if during a repair something else is discovered, how much to repair, timing of repair etc. Unlike dealerships and chain repair shops we don’t feel like we’re being upsold all the time. Keep up the great work guys. Always appreciated.
I woke up this morning to a check tire light on my dash. I figured I would try this shop out as it’s close to my workplace.I was greeted with a smile. I explained the situation to the guy working and he managed to book me in the same day without an appointment. A thorough inspection was done, along with photos and videos of the issue sent directly to me once the issue was diagnosed (a cracked rim). When I came back to pickup the car they provided a number of options for me. I cannot recommend these guys enough! Amazing pricing, kind service and extremely helpful!
I have already been here twice and they have provided me with good service at a reasonable price. A trustworthy place for you to take your car for auto repairs.
I decided to seek for their second opinion after I went to another big Burlington auto garage, changing oil for my VW car and that garage told me that the transfer case need to be replaced immediately to protect my safety. Although Smart Automobile centre is fully booked until next Monday, they have accepted me in this morning to double-check on this issue. Mike reviews and concludes nothing wrong with the transfer case....wow...I would recommend their service to anybody looking for the honest opinion before any auto salon requested you to do extra service to your car. Or the best way is going directly to Smart Automobile centre with Mike and Shawn to save you time and money!
