They reject 90% of clothes you try to sell. Bring in some beautiful Lululemon, Zara, and Free People WITH THE TAGS ON and they reject it. $6 they gave me and took 1 pair of maroon Lululemon shorts. Another Plato's Closet took a whole bunch more of my stuff. Unbelievable.

Took in a bag of clothes and didn’t really have any expectations but I got a call back about an hour later & they bought a good handful of my items.. great place to go for men’s for sure, they also bought a couple of my girlfriends pieces from the bag aswell- workers were very friendly and professional. Highly recommend!

I took in Two full large husky Garbage bags there was somebody sorting through somebody else’s things when I got there Not even 15 minutes later do I get a text Saying my things are ready for pick up I go in and they didn’t take anything not one single thing and I have things from Aritzia Lululemon Abercrombie etc That are in good condition in those bags. I highly doubt that they even looked through the bags. There’s no way it took less than 15 minutes to go Through Those bags. Lazy workers

Selling here sucks, I have new to excellent condition items like a Coach handbag, sweater, Calvin Klein etc and they offered me a really low price for everything. It’s better to sell your items yourself if you want to get a better price for it. I do not recommend selling here.

Was there on Monday November 17th, 2025. *After 6pm*I brought multiple items including some coach bags in amazing condition. *pics attached* I was offered $15 for both?! Not only was the evening staff rude to me.. any visit I make to the Burlington location I’am surrounded by Arrogant employees who stand around and socialize rather than work. I was told that they give you 30% of what they’re going to sell it for that doesn’t make any sense to me as they have over 1 million pairs of TNA jogging pants that are over $30 and some of them aren’t even brand new. they just say TNA. Therefore, Plato’s Burlington has felt the need to op the price to a ridiculous degree for A secondhand clothing store. If I ever do decide to return to Plato’s, I guarantee you it won’t be anywhere near It doesn’t make any sense to me that I was offered basically seven dollars a bag, unless the girls wanted to market down in order to buy it Which is also ridiculous. As we all know, the economy sucks right now, and I understand that they are a business $100 each for those bags I also understand that you’re not gonna get full retail value with seven Ridiculous. As someone who used to be a retail manager at many different retail locations of other retail companies I know for a fact that good customer service is important as well let alone treating the customer Like they are human beings and not offend the customer by your awful offers. Seven dollars a bag?!? lucky for the girls at Plato’s that evening. I was desperate enough. Cave and sell the bags. I felt and continue to feel totally taken advantage of by senior high school students. In my opinion it’s either a scam company or they just hire people that do. ‍♀️

I've been selling to this Plato's for years. The young staff are always friendly, kind, non-judgmental and respectful, taking the time to explain things. Kudos to these hard-working and professional young people.

Absolutely asinine and terrible service. I took in a bag of clothes still with tags on, the clerks didn't take anything and informed me the clothes were 'too mature' and the store liked to stay 'casual and trendy'. I'm twenty, I shouldn't be too old to shop at Plato's. Absolutely insulting to be told my clothes are too mature for the store. I will not be shopping here and will be encouraging my friends to shop elsewhere since Plato's is no longer fit for the 'mature' shoppers of twenty and up. I would encourage the managers and store owners to actually train their clerks in basic customer service since it's egregious to be insulted as a customer.

Thank you for the review. We are seeing more people than ever before bringing clothing in to us and therefore we are having to send back more than ever. However we should not have made you feel too old to shop or sell to us. This is a training issue that I need to address as they should have been able to give you proper reasons why we sent items home
