After having literally the worst experience in Victoria secret I went into aerie to make myself feel better and Savannah was the best friend shopping buddy I needed. I told her of my awful experience LOL and she absolutely took care of me. I was going on a 8 hr road trip the next day and just wanted to be comfy and asked her to build me a comfy car outfit and I ended up leaving with the comfiest pants 2 sweatshirts and a tank. While I was in the change room the wonderful girl in the fitting room asked if I was looking for the smaller bra size that I was looking for at VS (don’t even know why I tried there lol) but I’m assuming Savannah told her over the mic without me even asking. Honestly I’m so thankful for her help and the fitting room girls help too. I feel like in our current state with everything being online having sales associates willing to help is so rare. So PLEASE give them all the praise/pizza party/a raise because they deserve it.

I visited the Aerie store at Mapleview Mall today and experienced what I believe was racial profiling by a white employee. My name is Savannah, I am a 17-year-old Black girl, and I went to the mall with a non-Black friend just to browse. From the moment we entered, an employee stationed at the front greeted us. As my friend and I looked at clothes near the entrance, I noticed the same employee staring directly at me. At first, I brushed it off. My friend stopped to look at skirts, while I walked over to a different section to check out tube tops. That same employee soon moved into my section, pretending to “stock” clothes while keeping her eyes on me. I moved to another part of the store to look at a lace top, and once again, she followed. This pattern continued all the way to the fitting rooms at the back of the store. While I was trying on clothes, she stayed in the fitting room area, folding the same items repeatedly and staring into my change room. When I asked my friend for an opinion, the employee interrupted to ask if I needed help. Later, when I inquired about the price of a top, she took it to check. I decided out loud that I preferred that colour instead of the other one I was trying, but instead of handing it back to me in the change room, she kept it with her and continued to watch. And of course as soon as my friend and I exited the fitting room, she left at the exact same time. This constant following, staring, and monitoring felt targeted and made me extremely uncomfortable. I strongly believe I was treated this way because of my race. Do better

Came here to tell everyone how wonderful this branch of Arie is! I got fitted for a bra by the amazing Sylvia, who really knows her stuff! I'd previously bought another style and size but brought them back because I don't know my own measurements. Well, I took Sylvia's advice because she was spot on. Ended up with the Smoothie bra x 4 because they are amazing! And Erin on cash was the sweetest and most helpful girl! In fact, all the girls were lovely! Definitely recommend this location and if the big boss reads this, give these girls a raise because they're an asset to your company! I hope they get to know how great I thought they were! BIG UP FOR THE GIRLS AT MAPLEVIEW

Good selection of items and a huge thank you to Sierra who was so kind, helpful and friendly and polite when I came in last weekend. This was my first time buying at Aerie and I will definitely come back

I love the items the store sells and the staff are great. My issue is with the manager. There have been a few times I’ve had to return items I purchased online and the manager has been very combative and has an attitude problem. She is lacking the people skills a management position needs. Again, my experiences with the rest of the staff have been positive. I wish there was another location that was closer because I really dread dealing with this manager.

The staff wasn’t very welcoming and I don’t think anyone offered help me the entire time I was there. Girls in the fitting room to “help” were swearing and just talking about going to university. That’s all fine, but they were throwing out f bombs and stuff. Not very professional. They were talking about McMaster university. Great way to represent your future university lol.

Staff are so friendly and helpful! At the time of this review (July 2021) they have just reopened and the line gets a bit nuts to get in, since it's such a small store. Even at open on weekdays. FYI - you can book an appointment with them, so you can pick a time to shop, or even make a return.
